EDUCATION FIRST

3002FJL09_25_2015

Education First. Education should be first and foremost priority for any struggling nation or third world country. In fact, it should be the first and foremost priority for any country. Few leaders in the world actually understand this. They prefer to focus on economics, roads, infrastructure, agriculture, development or international investments.

Education FIRST is the precursor of success for all other priorities. Education leads to the knowledge required to manage and provide health care. The second most important priority. Education provides the knowledge to explore more effective and efficient agricultural productivity. Education opens opportunities to build and design infrastructure. Education leads to economic knowledge of banking and investments to further advance a nation.

Current educational ‘systems’ focus on a herd mentality. They are inept to foster creative independent thinkers, critical for a productive society or company. Education should always be focused toward individuality. Every child learns at different speeds. Every child has strengths and weaknesses. Every child has an area of knowledge or talent they are more passionate about than all others.

We need to focus on nurturing those strengths and passions in each and every child. Giving them the tools and resources to develop their skills and talents within the fields they love. And assisiting them to develop a minimal understanding of the subjects they may not be quite as passionate about.

It is the responsibility of business and industry to assure this happens. To support and promote early education even if the student is not an immediate prospect for their business or industry. Our youth is our future. Always.

AN ESSAY ON HEALTH CARE AND THE MEDICAL SYSTEM

This past year, the University of Texas at Austin initiated the opening of their new Medical School on the main campus in Austin. UT has other medical schools in Texas, but a central medical school on the main campus is a historic first.

In January of this year, Dr. Clay Johnston, the newly appointed Dean of the Medical School, wrote a tongue-in-cheek article on the ‘top ten’ issues he was facing. It was penned as light-hearted humor and insight. But it inspired me to seriously examine the real problems and issues with our healthcare systems as I have experienced them over the years.

I worked for UTMD Anderson Cancer Center as a Director of Support Services from 1999 to 2005. I am a Communications College graduate from UT Austin. So I embraced the opportunity to write on one of my two favorite social topics (education being the other). I personally worked with some of the finest Doctors, Researchers and Administrators in the world.

This past month I traveled to an internationally renowned hospital facility on the opposite end of the globe from Texas. My experiences reinforced my fears about the obvious and dramatic deficiencies in the quality and efficiency of our healthcare operations.

I composed this essay in the hopes we will distance ourselves from the recent misdirected goals of profitability and greed. We should instead strive to achieve the more valuable and compassionate goals of quality personal health care, convenience with minimal disturbance to the quality of life, and providing efficient costs with effective results.

I also sent this essay to Dr. Clay Johnston as a courtesy before I published it. His response was positive and supportive. He also stated he would share it with his colleagues. One more small step forward for all of us.

1) WHY IS A HOSPITAL LIKE A PRISON AND WHY SHOULD IT BE MORE LIKE A 5 STAR HOTEL?

Let’s face facts; most people don’t spend very much time in hospitals anymore unless it is something serious. Most procedures are now done on an outpatient basis. If you do have to be admitted into a hospital, it is a very difficult process. Most physicians will only approve admittance if it is a serious issue. Or if you visit the Emergency room and they realize it is serious enough to admit you. It remains a very, very costly process for the patient.

Once you are admitted, the hospital resembles a prison in many ways. Most of your choices are made for you. The atmosphere and surroundings are generally the stylish ‘sterile institutional depression’ design pattern. You are inserted with an IV tube and a bevy of wires for vital sign monitoring (although I have seen wireless versions lately).  All of this makes it difficult to sleep or rest. Which oftentimes is what you need the most.  And you may be awakened consistently throughout the night for meds, injections or other tests.

The physicians services are dependent on who might be available based on their current patient load. In other cases, it is based on how long it takes them to get to the hospital. Possibly taking time away from their personal practice. Diagnostic testing is also susceptible to scheduling and staff conflicts. And they are all dependent on the analysis and interpretation from staff and personnel.

Everything has to be meticulously recorded. This also takes time, patience and skill.  A patient might spend 10-20% of their time receiving ‘medical services’, and the other 80-90% watching television, reading books, sleeping or staring at the wall (ah, but now we have internet). It is a very inefficient system when you consider the cost of that hospital bed both for the patient and for the facility.  Of course, all of these variables also depend on how serious your ailment might be.

Is there a better way? Yes, there is. First, let me qualify. One of the major reasons many organizations do not modify or restructure certain operational procedures, is because they don’t want to lose money. I will clarify. If making a change means they will no longer make money from a specific product or service, even if the final outcome is a cost savings and a benefit for the consumer; they don’t want to lose the budget revenue. It’s as simple as that. Unfortunately, this is aside from the fact that the operational changes may be more effective and efficient.  So in reality, effectiveness and efficiency should always be the priority. This was management 101 back in the day. Not so much today.

A very respected physician and department head I worked with many years ago would stress the importance of the three most critical responsibilities of a hospital or healthcare facility; prevention, diagnostics and treatment. Prevention is important before something happens. Treatment is important after something happens. But diagnostics are important all the time. We are failing.

On the subject of diagnostics I shall highlight two specific areas of focus, Star Trek and human biological excretions. We all know what human biological excretions are (blood, saliva, urine, stool, epithelial skin cells, sweat, tears and genital excretions).  These are our most important tools for individual diagnostics. Yet, although as easy it is to collect almost all of these, we have no current system in operation to consistently collect and analyze these vitally important warning signals essential to our wellbeing.

Mr. Rodenberry knew what he was doing when he gave Dr. McCoy the ultimate diagnostic and treatment tool, handheld no less.  And although we have come quite a long way in the development of modern diagnostic equipment, we are still waiting on the major diagnostic equipment designers and manufacturers to design and release the ultimate diagnostic tool. In the meantime, the old tools make very good sales commissions. Where is the incentive?

We need to break out of the confinement mentality now!

2) WHY DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM IF YOU HAVE BEEN ASKING ME THE SAME QUESTIONS ALL MY LIFE?

How many times have you been to a physician’s or dental office and filled out the same information over and over again.  Name, address, phone number and medical history. These do change on occasion. Why don’t we have a standard label or form for basic medical record information by now? Always bring your mailing labels for those multiple forms! When you have a stack of forms to fill out, this is a good option. Some facilities are now set up for you to fill out the forms online before your appointment. It is basically the same information and questions you answered when you went to visit that other doctor or practice.

3) WHY DON’T YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE IF I HAVE BEEN SEEING DOCTORS MY WHOLE LIFE?

We have visited doctors over and over again. Yet each doctor we visit has no clue where we’ve been before. In the old days, your doctor kept your records for life because he or she was your doctor for life. No more. Now you have to take the initiative to ask for a copy of your blood work, or your medical records report from the visit, or the CD/DVD of your X-ray, MRI or CT scan. Doctors and clinics do not volunteer this information to you. The only thing you receive after a visit is a receipt (if you even receive that). Demand you receive a report after each and every visit. You paid for it. You deserve it. And it may make your next visit that much easier and more effective for your physician.

4) WHY DO I VISIT 7 DIFFERENT DOCTOR ‘SPECIALISTS’ TO TELL EACH OF THEM THE VERY SAME THING?

Once again, the same issue as the last one. This major hole in our healthcare system, is not only dangerous, it is deadly. You will visit several ‘specialists’ and none of them talk to each other. The idea is to have a general practitioner to coordinate your health care. But how many of us have a general practitioner anymore? And how informed are they on the procedures or the diagnostics the specialists are performing or considering? How many doctors even take the significant amount of time to review your records? There are exceptions.

There needs to be a physician or medical practitioner whose sole responsibility is to review the procedures and diagnostics the specialists are performing or considering. There needs to be a patient evaluation for advanced conditions. The patient evaluation is a meeting on video chat, if nothing else, where the specialists listen to each other’s evaluations and discuss options with other specialists for the patients. This form of ‘group consultation’ must be implemented to minimize the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of various ‘specialists’ on one patient.

5) WHY CAN’T I SPEND A DAY IN DIAGNOSTICS INSTEAD OF HOURS IN THE WAITING ROOM?

Why do doctors and insurance companies insist on requiring people who have medical issues to spend days going back and forth to diagnostic clinics? Many are elderly and have a difficult time with transportation.  Why don’t waiting rooms have equipment for personal blood pressure and heart rate monitoring? Or have equipment in the waiting room for do-it-yourself weight, height, heart rate or body temperature? Efficiency is vital and our health care system is negligent.

6) HOW DO YOU KNOW THE DRUGS YOU ARE GIVING ME ARE NOT GOING TO INTERACT WITH THE DRUGS ANOTHER DOCTOR GAVE ME LAST WEEK?

Few doctors have any idea which medications may interfere with others.  Some physicians do have basic information. And others might even attempt to research interactions. But in general, this is another major failure of our healthcare system. Not everyone’s metabolism is the same. In fact, it is the opposite. We are all biologically very different. What may work for one person may not work for another. Dosage for one person may not be the right dosage for another.

The pharmaceutical companies in coordination with the physicians and the insurance companies should be funding major studies and creating information databases to at least provide minimal information to patients and physicians on known or potential drug interactions.  It would not just be beneficial; this should be their responsibility as profiteers from the sale of medications and health services.

7) WHY CAN’T YOU TELL ME WHAT YOUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES WILL COST BEFORE YOU PROVIDE THEM TO ME?

This is a very important intentional failure and should really be our number one priority right now. Have you ever left your car at the mechanic or service shop and just walked away without asking approximately how much it would cost? I know I haven’t. I make it a point to get a written estimate. It may not be the final cost, but the written estimate reminds them to call me if there is something else my vehicle needs that they might find as they start working on it, or that they did not include in the original estimate.

How many times have you gone to the hospital or doctor’s office and found a listing of published cost estimates for procedures?  Rarely, if ever. Why not? Simply because health service providers can vary their costs based on whether you have insurance or not.  And they can vary the claim information for supplies and services rendered to increase their profits. It’s all about money. Convenience and transparency for the patient does not factor in the equation at all.

This must change immediately. I recently visited a few of the international tourist healthcare destination hospital websites. They do have published approximate costs. At least it gives the patient an estimate on the amount of money their procedures might require.

This negligence in providing health care consumers with approximate costs for any procedure or service, has allowed health care providers in many cases to charge whatever they want. Why shouldn’t they? You have already authorized them to do what they need to do (or what they want to do). So what is to stop them from submitting any cost they deem appropriate to your insurance company for payment? Nothing.

Every service provider should be required to provide you an estimate or range of costs ahead of time.  A reasonable and easily understood estimate to review how much you and your insurance company will be required to pay for your visit, service or product. This should be a LAW. Why isn’t it? Most politicians are heavily vested in the health care industries and some of their highest profits are a result of their investments in these industries. So the answer here is money, greed and politicians. They had sufficient opportunities to require these consumer friendly measures in recent healthcare legislations. It didn’t happen.

And I don’t think I need to remind anyone that these inefficiencies between health care providers and insurance companies are what have skyrocketed our healthcare costs in the past few decades.

8) WHY DON’T I GET TO APPROVE AND VERIFY THAT WHAT YOU CHARGE MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS WHAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY PROVIDING ME?

This one simple procedure for checks and balance is the major reason health care costs are exorbitant in the USA and in other countries where there is no patient control on what is charged and what is paid for. Give the patients the responsibility to review and approve the supplies and service costs! This would reduce service providers from turning in costs and charges to insurance companies that they didn’t actually provide or were overinflated.

This is another efficient procedure that would not be difficult to implement and yet would save millions, perhaps billions. Even if a consumer’s review of a bill is not a final authorization on whether the insurance company pays or not, it is still a transparency measure that would be invaluable in the long term to consumers and insurance companies.

9) WHY DO YOU KEEP PRESCRIBING AND GIVING ME MORE AND MORE DRUGS?

I have boxes and boxes of drugs that have been prescribed to me in the past few years. Most of them I may have used maybe once or twice. Many of them I never even used at all. Why? Is it because I don’t like to listen to my doctors? No, it is because they were almost all over-prescribed. The pharmaceutical companies make money from them, the pharmacies that dispensed them made money from disbursing them, the doctors and clinics got freebies or brownie points, and the hospitals made a huge profit bumping up the cost of the drugs for patients in the hospital’s care.

It is better to accurately prescribe a few strategic medications than to prescribe medications as a ‘catch all’ that may in fact do more harm than good. This unfortunately is another failure of our healthcare system. And it is irresponsibility on the part of pharmaceutical companies and those that prescribe them.

10) SHOULDN’T EVERYBODY RECEIVE AN AUTOPSY IF REQUESTED?

This final item is more important than it may at first seem to be. If approved or requested by family members, autopsies would provide families and physicians with more accurate results of why the patient may have died. It is also an excellent source of data for continued research and scientific discovery. Would it provide firepower for some families and attorneys to seek retribution from doctors and facilities? Possibly. But the benefits far outweigh the consequences.

More accurate diagnosis and limitless research material on ailments and diseases is the reward. I do not know of any medical facility that will provide autopsies unless requested by law enforcement or lawyers. Could this be part of an organ and body parts donation program? Possibly. Could interns or medical schools perform these autopsies? Possibly.

CONCLUSION

Our healthcare system is broken in more ways than one. It is a complete failure in certain areas. Although we have come a long way from the days of Hippocrates, and although there are excellent facilities, physicians, healthcare workers and companies doing excellent work, we can and should do better for all patients and consumers worldwide. There are solutions. Sometimes it means a little less profit, sometimes temporarily, sometimes long term. But if these changes can provide a more efficient health care system, better diagnostics and health care, better research and solutions, and better health for patients, then it is well worth the temporary or long-term reduction of profits.

Profit is considered to be the revenue accounted for after all expenses and reinvestments have been covered. In the healthcare industry, profit should be measured in the quality of health care, the increase in the statistics of healing and the increase in long-term survival rates. In other words, people above profits. Only those involved in the health care system on a daily basis can make this happen.  Let us all hope they succeed. Soon.

The idiot is never equal to the genius!

There are three reasons why socialism will never work, neither as a philosophy, nor as a viable political system of government.

First, the idiot is never equal to the genius. Socialism assumes we are all equal. We are not. This is why a productive, intelligent person gets paid more than a sloth.

Second, when you compensate the productive, intelligent person, the same as the sloth, you have no incentives for creativity or productivity. In short, the genius will live and perform like the sloth because the rewards will not differ.

And third, much like a democracy, when given the opportunity to advance at the expense of others there is an inherent tendency in human behavior to gravitate toward greed. In a Socialist system you always have to have ‘the distributor‘. This is the one person or group that is given the responsibility to ‘distribute‘ resources. And like many governments and countries today throughout the world, the concept of ‘one for you, and one for me’, soon morphs into ‘half for you, three for me and I’ll sell you another half for a price‘.

The difference between the two systems, Democracy and Socialism, is that with Democracy citizens have the power to change things no matter how diluted the capabilities may sometimes be. In Socialism, you don’t have a vote. You don’t have the right to protest, and you certainly don’t have the right to change the system. You are stuck with the results every time.

All attempts at partial Socialism have failed because the philosophies of Democracy and Socialism are at odds with each other. They are complete opposites and two completely different ways of thinking. They cannot be ‘gracefully merged’ in a social system or political. And they cannot be ‘intertwined’ in an economic system.

Communism is the bureaucratic implementation of Socialism. It augments the Socialist ‘dream‘ with ‘youth brigades’, ‘party elders’, and ‘neighborhood vigilante squads’. It is a forceful extension of the concept of Socialism with a dictatorial bureaucracy built to assure all the servants are abiding by the strict rules of the State. It creates a burgeoning bureaucracy, complex enough to make any bourgeois bureaucrat proud.

It has never been implemented successfully because it is a philosophic, economic and idealistic FAILURE.

And always will be.

The Khawaarij (Kharijites) are one of the deviant sects, as is proven by the texts and by scholarly consensus. Al-Bukhaari and Muslim narrated that Yusayr ibn ‘Amr said: I said to Sahl ibn Hunayf: Did you hear the Prophet say anything about the Khawaarij? He said: I heard him say – and he gestured with his hand towards Iraq –: “From there will emerge people who recite the Qur’an, but it will not go past their collarbones. They will pass out of Islam as an arrow passes out of the prey.”

Ibn Maajah narrated that Ibn Abi Awfa said: The Messenger of Allah said: “The Khawaarij are the dogs of Hell.”

-from http://islamqa.info/en/182237

Where did such a violent ideology presumably based on a religion spring from?

Who Were The Kharijites?

Who exactly were the Kharijites? They were an early offshoot of Islam that developed during the civil war between the Prophet Muhammad’s cousin Ali and the governor of Damascus Mu’awiyah.

The Muslim state enjoyed relative stability under the caliphates of Abu Bakr and Umar ibn Al Khattab. During the caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan, the third Caliph, discord began to seep into the state. This discord ultimately resulted in the assassination of Uthman by renegades. A dispute, then, arose over the succession of Uthman: some supported Ali, the Prophet’s cousin, and others supported Mu’awiyah, the governor of Damascus and Uthman’s relative.

This dispute culminated in the Battle of Siffin in 657. The initial battle went against Mu’awiayh. When he directed his forces to place copies of the Qur’an on their lances, indicating their desire to submit to binding arbitration “based on the Qur’an,” the forces of Ali refused to fight. Once the terms of the arbitration were set, a group of Muslims objected to the whole principle of arbitration and rebelled against both Ali and Mu’awiyah. These were the Kharijites. They declared them infidels worthy of murder. Even though Ali defeated most of them at the Battle of Nahrawan in 658, a group survived and ultimately assassinated Ali in 661.

Kharijite belief is a form of radical fundamentalism. As noted in the Wikipedia entry, “They preached uncompromising adherence to the teachings of the Qur’an in defiance of corrupt authorities.” They also preached “absolute equality of the faithful” and maintained that “only the most pious should be caliph…even if he were an Abyssinian slave (the lowest social class of the era).” They spread their ideology violently, declaring anyone who does not believe as they do – even those who committed any major sins – as “infidels,” whose blood is allowed to be shed. They committed many atrocities against fellow Muslims, including the hacking to death of one of the governor’s of Ali and his pregnant wife.

The radical and violent extremists of today act very much like the Kharijites of old. They claim to commit their evil in the name of God and doing righteousness, just like the Kharijites of old. They believe that those who do not espouse their radical views as “infidels” worthy of death, just like the Kharijites of old. They have committed – and continue to commit – horrific acts of violence against fellow Muslims, just like the Kharijites of old.

Who were the Kharjites?

More on the History and Ideology of the Kawaareej: The Kawaareej and Their Renewed Ideology

The Deceptions of the Kawarij have been acknowledged by Muslim Scholars:

On The Khawaarij and the Renewed Ideology

The Horn Of Satan

So how are the Khawarij connected to modern day terrorists? It is because their brutal and violent sect continues to this very day. They have evolved into a very powerful modern faction that also claims Islam as their religious base. This group is very powerful in Saudi Arabia and has been the driving force behind extremist terrorist activities in the Middle East, the United States and many other nations throughout the world for at least the past fifty years. They also have very wealthy financiers connected with oil profits in the Middle East and now also in other parts of the world. Who are these dogs of war?

They refer to themselves as the Wahhabi sect of Islam. Although in reality, many of their ideals and practices are far from traditional Islam. Like the Khawarij, they renounce Idolatry. So they have destroyed significant archaeological and Muslim historical sites on the Saudi peninsula over the years. Let me be clear. The entire Saudi government and people are not Wahabi. But the Wahabi sect has had siginificant influence on both the government and the people throughout their history. It is one of the reasons the country is so extreme in the control of peoples lives.

There are many examples of Wahabis extending their tentacles into sensitive areas of the world to increase their attempts at world domination. I don’t use that term lightly. I know it sounds like a script from the The Man From U.N.C.L.E or a James Bond chapter, but there is a significant truth to it. It has even been written that the Wahabi sect was originally created by the British to reinforce their power in the world.

One other fact is certain. And it answers the question of why radical sects claiming to be Muslim have taken such a strong foothold in the USA and especially strong in areas like Michigan. In the late 60’s and early 70’s, the wealthy oil-rich Saudi Wahabis strategically provided funding to establish Mosques to preach their radical form of religion throughout the USA starting in Chicago. Chicago at the time was the home of The Nation of Islam. And although The Nation of Islam had little to do with real Islam, a young prodigy named Malcom X was increasing their following by the thousands. This seemed a perfect seeding ground for the Wahabis.

And it was. They continued to seed Mosques throughout the USA and provided educational funding to young black ‘prospects’. I won’t make any connection to any current government leader in the USA, but the connections do exist, concealed away as they might be. Eventually Malcolm X made a trip to Mecca and realized some Muslims actually had blonde hair and blue eyes, and everybody got along just fine without the divisive practices so prevalent and endorsed in the USA. Malcolm decided to break with The Nation of Islam and their heretic leader, Louis Farrakhan. A few weeks later he was assassinated. I won’t make the connection, but others have done so quite convincingly.

But the Wahhabis continued to seed and preach their radical hate in Mosques they funded and built throughout the USA and later in England, France and other European nations. Eventually they spread the hate to other countries in Africa, Asia, and throughout the Middle East. But don’t take my word for it. Do the research yourself. Please keep in mind, not all Saudis are Wahabis and not all Wahabis are terrorists. But the ideology and it’s spread throughout the world has created an environment of hate and violence. This is not the peace and love of any religion we know of.

I hope this essay has been productive for anyone seeking the answers. The better we understand the ideology we are fighting, the better we are prepared to educate on an ideology that not only conquers the evil, but also fortifies a much better worldview for everyone exploring or undecided. The only way to win the war is to win through ideology. Violence, hatred and the torture and killing of innocent people is wrong. This is an ideologic value that is thousands of years old. Much older than any distorted pseudo-religious and warped, man construed doctrine of ignorance. Those that survive the battlefield will be held accountable for their cruelty and callous disregard for human life. All of these are actions contrary to the teachings of Mohamed, Christ, Buddha, God and Allah.

POLITICS AND RELIGION:
The History of Man – Part One

God has no preference between a man and a woman. They are both equal in the eyes of God. God has no preference between a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim and a Buddhist. They are all equal in the eyes of God as long as they respect the creation of God’s Nature. The laws of God are universal and timeless. The interpretations of God’s laws by men are often flawed and selfish. Prophets are good people because they interpret the laws of God to men in a fair and just way. And they are at times, both exalted and persecuted, because they dole out fairness and justice to all men equally. But not all men consider themselves equal to other men in their own eyes.

Religions have killed in the name of God for thousands of years. Even Atheism has killed millions. Religious conversion has often been forced at the end of the sword or the gun. The concept itself is contrary to religious dogma. To believe and have faith in God is a personal and voluntary decision. If religion has to be forced upon someone, it is no longer religion. It becomes politics. Politics is a dogmatic belief created by men to impose their own idealistic idiosyncrasies upon others.

Recently, we have been daunted by ‘terrorism’. Men have terrorized each other, also for thousands of years.  ‘Evolution’ is a gradual change over time. ‘Revolution’ is an abrupt social change forced by human political activity. It is important to differentiate between violent revolution and peaceful revolution. Peaceful revolution uses peaceful means to inspire dynamic change in a society. Jesus Christ, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King were peaceful revolutionaries. They distinctly instructed their followers not to incite violence. Peaceful revolutions create long term change that develops firm roots within a social structure. They do so, because the social structure is mostly in agreement with the implemented changes.

Violent revolutions are short lived. Because similar to forcing religion upon someone, the ‘idealism’ will not be personal, nor will it be voluntary. So the political or religious facade will be discarded at the earliest opportune time. We have many examples of this in recent history. Two of the more significant instances is the failure of the Bolshevik Revolution with the fall of the USSR, and the failure of Mao’s Great Plan with the introduction of Capitalism in China.

A more recent example of a violent revolutionary that has killed millions is Castro’s crony Argentinian friend, Ernesto Guevara. His violent ideology and homicidal tactics continue to be idolized throughout the third world and in countries where some groups gravitate toward him as a ‘heroic’ figure. Heroic he is not. His actual claim to fame is as a mass murderer. His philosophy and early tactics soon inspired and activated other terrorist organizations to mimic and augment his callous violence toward humanity.

Targets were no longer strictly soldiers and warriors on the honorable battlefield. The days of respect among generals and for each others fallen soldiers ended with the bearded devil. And continues with other modern bearded demons. In many Muslim areas throughout the world, groups of fanatical and often violent individuals have incited the same senseless violence against innocent people. Without honor, without compassion and without tolerance, which are three of the most important foundations of all religions.

All of these groups have at least one thing in common. They all consider themselves devout followers of Islam. The truth is, they are all Islamic heretics, prostituting the cleanliness of Islam into a Satanic abomination of evil. They are the merciless. And they continue to taunt and kill the merciful.

Arrows Missing The Target – Part Two

Living in the Middle East I have met hundreds of Muslims from all over the world. Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia, Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Turkey, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and others. All of the people I have met are good people. They just want to work an honest job to feed their families. And be able to go to sleep safely to get up the next day and do it again.

Everyone I’ve spoken to wants the same exact thing. But there are those out there, as small a minority as they might be, that would prefer to force their ideals and their values on others through force. This is the evil in the world. And it is easy to recognize. Unless sometimes when the evil comes from the lips of a Rabbi or a Priest or an Imam. Their position as an intermediary to God, gives them undisputed credibility in the eyes of many people that are less than grounded in a solid foundation of belief.

So I had to understand WHY this happened. And that is when I started to research. Eventually I found three connections that completely explained the answers I was seeking. But they were not evident. They were not widely discussed or covered by the media. In fact, the opposite was true. The information was meticulously kept concealed. Finding the answers required sifting through volumes of misinformation and discovering carefully hidden historical facts.

Education begins with teaching pre-K and kindergarten children how to communicate with each other. Teaching basic social communication skills is even more important than reading and math. The Lakota Tribes have a list of 12 values that should be taught to every one of our children from the moment they step into the educational system. These are values that have not changed in tens of thousands of years. They include Humility, Perseverance, Respect, Honor, Love, Sacrifice, Truth, Compassion, Bravery, Fortitude, Generosity and Wisdom.

We must learn to teach every child as an individual with individual strengths and weaknesses. Once a year is sufficient to test a student. We should nurture their strengths and their loves by guiding them to develop them. And we should gently reinforce their learning in the areas where they are not as strong. Education should be a choice of adventures, not a competition to subvert others.

Businesses should be investing in education at every grade level. Not as a way to advertise their business, but as a way to develop and recruit the very best talent in the field or area the business wants to grow. Higher education should not be just a ‘stepping stone’. It should be a long term investment for both the student and the business. We must look beyond the generic grade point average to examine individual strengths. Creating a tighter fit for both, the student developing their passion for a career, and the business developing the very best talent to assure a long term relationship.

First of all, until all religions around the world accept the equality of women to preach the word of God and Christ, we will remain in the dark. God is neither male nor female. God is nature and nature is God. Nature is abundant diversity. All of it is a reflection of the Divinity of God.

Sex development in humans is not always perfect. People do get caught in between. The greatest obstacle for people ‘born between’ is not their physical or biological bodies. The greatest obstacle to people ‘born between’ are self-righteous religious hypocrites. Their ‘moral’ judgement of people born with ‘natural’ variations in human development, lead people born between to live lives of isolation, depression or attempted suicide.

It is unfortunate that so many Theologians, Ministers of God and devout believers do not understand, or in some cases, do not even want to understand the science. All of these people ‘born between’ are children of God. They are brothers and sisters in Christ. It is the hypocrites of so-called religious devotion, that are the actual heathens. I was raised in private religious schools. And I will continue to devote my life to fight the hypocrisy and self-righteous moral evil of so many who believe that because they pray and attend a church, mosque, synagogue or temple, that they are above any other human on Earth. They are not.

I am working on a film on this topic. I have done the research. For those who gravitate toward the light, I hope you will visit our web site and support our film. For those who insist on remaining in the traditional darkness, I pray no one in your family or any of your relatives ever have to face the difficulties of so many on this Earth who have been ‘born between‘ through no fault of their own. http://www.bornbetween.com

I enjoy film, photography, poetry and music. I am an artist. I am also interconnected to everyone else on this planet. I have crossed paths with many people throughout my life. Those people have crossed paths with many others. We live in a woven fabric of connectivity, weaving denser every day of our lives. When most of the world is at peace, we are at peace. When most of the world is not, we are not. Violence always exists somewhere in the world. Often in many different places at the same time. The world is that large. Humans are that flawed. When there is extreme violence going on in some part of the world, and we are made aware of it by the many strands of information we are connected to, many of us are compassionately moved to stop it in any way we can. No, not everyone feels that way. Nor do they act beyond their own survival requirements. But some of us are inspired and conscientiously forced to act.

My personal method is to enlighten through film, photography, poetry or writing. In the past few weeks I have been at a crossroads once again. I am painfully torn apart by extreme merciless violence in parts of the world. I am also hurt and torn by people who prefer to target a group of people for the crimes of certain individuals within the group of people.

So I have taken on the responsibility of enlightening as many people around the world as I can possibly reach, with all of my strands of connectivity. The most noble purpose in this life is to teach others how to teach enlightenment. I will teach ‘differentiation’. Differentiation is the skill of being able to analyse and process the perceptive difference between two or more things which otherwise seem to be similar. I will begin with a topic I have been most ardently involved with for the past month. I will continue as time moves on with topics in need of evaluation and reassessment. In the end, our goal is to explore new ways of improving the lives of everyone. And reducing or eliminating those things that attempt to block us from achieving that goal. The first ‘differentiation’ I will explore is ‘the merciful and the merciless‘. Please feel free to reblog or repost any of the essays. Courteously include author credit. 1-004-14SEY28 MK0018

In addition to the recent poetry web site I introduced several months ago, I have just completed a photography portfolio web site. I will be updating both as time permits, but feel free to visit and comment with feedback.

It’s almost time for me to head back home
but today I feel a darkness creeping
across the globe dark forces seeping
they find the holes when I am sleeping
or when I am not fighting them and keeping
them on the defensive.
They are greedy green mean machines.
Real powers and real forces. There are those that
don’t believe me. They don’t see them every day.
So they give them holidays, so they can do what they may, and take away, more of what you pay and pay. They do not understand that only they can stop them. But they must fight them every day. Without a holiday. Believe what I say.
Drugs you don’t need.
Healing plants you can’t have.
Poisons in your food to make you pay.
Wars and weapons to pay and pay in lives.
Watching and listening, taking away your dignity,
your humanity, your joy.
Tricks to fool you, pay you to work,
then take your money away.
You never own anything. They own you.
You can stop them.
You must stop them.
Stop the banks from stealing.
Stop the companies from cheating.
Stop the people from lying.
Stop the government from killing.
Love.
Love is not religion.
Love is not a competition.
Love is not waiting for the reward.
Love is Nature.
